What The Dub?! gameplay video → RiffTrax: The Game Review Bamerang Review Switch ★★★☆☆ Party games don't get much simpler than What The Dub?! yet its hilarious moments make it a must-have for those who love to laugh. It lined up perfectly with the scene and we laughed so hard that we had to pause the game. For example, there was a clip from 1963's The Terror with a very young Jack Nicholson and one actor said something like "What are you doing here?" so I typed "I think I might have The Shining or something" then prompted a farting sound effect. That being said, when it works, it can provide some of the funniest clips that you've ever seen. This easily digestible setup is a breath of fresh air although having a robotic voice say the lines occasionally takes away from the experience as it can be rather discordant. Unlike many games within the The Jackbox Party Pack universe, its gameplay is incredibly easy to follow as all you do is fill in missing lines from film clips by typing funny things then you vote on which ones you like best. What The Dub?! is a party game where up to 4 players can join by using a web browser on their device of choice. I don't know what that means but it sounds dirty Say No! More gameplay video → What The Dub?! Review PlayStation 4 ★★★★☆Įver since Jackbox Games debuted, there have been plenty of silly party games popping up so here's one where you alter classic films. Indies don't get much funnier than Say No! More with its goofy story, pitch-perfect presentation, and laugh-out-loud situations. Therefore, its primary appeal is definitely its wacky story, dialogue, and presentation which are all great. This creates a somewhat strategic experience although it's still very easy and basic.
As you progress, a lot of complexity is added to this simple formula such as the ability to charge your no, weaken people beforehand by laughing or clapping, and you'll also gain access to various modes such as hot, cold, and lazy nos.
From then on, the gameplay has you automatically move through scenarios as if you're playing a rail shooter and all you do is tap a button to say no to people who get in your way. It's basically a story-driven experience where you play as an intern and after your supervisor steals your lunch, you come across a motivational cassette that teaches you the power of saying "no".

But shenanigans is my middle name Therefore, I recommend it but only if you don't mind not being challenged.Īs far as silly games where you mess with people go, Rain on Your Parade is a solid indie that's sure to make you smile. However, there definitely isn't much sense of challenge to the overall campaign and the core gameplay does remain rather samey throughout despite the variety of levels. All of this adds up to a lot of fun and I like that you can draw the cloud's face yourself. On top of this, there are some enjoyable side missions that add more challenge such as don't get anyone wet or discover some sort of secret level gimmick. For example, you may have to avoid being scorched by the sun, prevent army guys from deactivating a bomb, and refill your rain supply at a water source. This very simple premise isn't all that involving or challenging on its own but thankfully, the campaign offers impressive variety through many rule changes and goals that make its levels stand out as unique. Rain on Your Parade has you control a cloud as you float above levels and hold a button to unleash rain.
